We’ve got something big to share with our Chilliwack community - something that’s been in the works for a long time and is rooted in our love for our hometown and the desire to make your experience with us even better.
After many months of discussion, planning, and reflection, we’ve made the decision to temporarily close our Chilliwack location so we can give it the attention it truly deserves. This wasn’t a decision we made lightly. Chilliwack is our original home, the heartbeat of Old Yale Brewing - and it's time we give it a little (okay, a big) refresh.
We’re not just renovating the space - we’re reimagining it. We want to create an environment that better reflects who we are, how far we’ve come, and the community we love so much. A space that feels intentional, welcoming, and worthy of every guest who walks through our doors.
We know you probably have few questions, well lucky for you, we’ve got answers!
When are you closing?
Our Chilliwack location is currently closed with plans to reopen September 2026!
What exactly are you renovating? What’s it going to look like?
We wish we could spill all the beans right now, but we’re keeping a few things under wraps -for now… What we can say is that we’re giving the interior a much-needed glow up:
Think brighter, cleaner, more intentional. A space that feels fresh, energized, and true to who we are. Our patio will largely stay the same (because let’s be honest - it’s already pretty kick ass), but inside? That’s where the magic is happening.
Will things be different when you reopen?
Yes, but in the best possible way. Along with updating the space, we’re also reimagining our guest experience. We’re doubling down on hospitality, energy, and connection - because you deserve nothing less.
And don’t worry:
Trivia? Coming back.
Live music? You bet.
Happy hour? Never leaving.
The Beer? As good as always!
But we’re also planning to introduce a few new surprises, along with a refined, more purposeful food and drink menu that better aligns with our vision and values and the overall vibe of Chilliwack!
What does this mean for Team OYB in Chilliwack?
Honestly? This was the hardest part of the decision.
Temporarily closing the Chilliwack location means that our incredible restaurant team won’t have our kitchen to cook in, tables to serve, or a space to call home - and that’s a big deal. We didn’t take it lightly.
But to make the impact we’re aiming for with this renovation - both in the physical space and guest experience - we knew we’d need to fully press pause. And that meant having some tough conversations with the people who’ve helped bring this place to life over the years. We made sure to give our team plenty of notice, along with individual support, guidance, and referrals to help them navigate the transition. We’re so proud of the work they’ve done and the role they’ve played in getting this location to where it is today.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our community. Your continued support, patience, and love mean everything to us. This isn’t goodbye, it’s a quick pause, and when we come back in Spring 2026, it’ll be with a space and experience that reflects just how much we care.
