Beer Popsicles & Frozen Summer Sips

When the summer sun is beating down and you’ve just conquered a long weekend hike, there’s nothing quite like that first ice-cold sip of craft beer. But what if we told you we could make that cool-down even more refreshing?

Enter: The OYB Beer Popsicle. Creating your own frozen summer sips is an absolute game-changer for patio season. It’s a ridiculously easy, budget-friendly way to elevate your backyard BBQs and save a few bucks for your next big adventure. Plus, it looks incredibly impressive when you pull these out of the freezer for your crew.

Here is your official Trail Guide to crafting the ultimate adult freeze pops, featuring two of our most thirst-quenching summer favorites: Moon Dance Mango Wheat and Golden Peach Summer Radler.

The Golden Rule of Beer Popsicles

Before we get to the recipes, there is one crucial campfire rule for freezing beer: Alcohol and carbonation hate the freezer. If you just pour a fresh beer into a mold, the carbonation will make it overflow, and the alcohol will keep it from freezing solid, leaving you with a slushy mess.

The Fix: Let your beer sit out for about 30-45 minutes so it goes slightly flat, and always mix it with a base like fruit juice or simple syrup. The sugars and water content are what give the popsicle its solid structure!

The "Moon Dance" Mango Tango Pops 🥭

Our classic Moon Dance Mango Wheat already brings the tropical vacation vibes, but blending it with fresh fruit takes it to a whole new level.

What You Need:

  • 1 can of OYB Moon Dance Mango Wheat (slightly flat)

  • 1 cup of fresh or frozen mango chunks

  • 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice

  • 2 tablespoons of simple syrup (or honey)

  • Tajin (optional, for a spicy rim!)

How to Make 'Em:

  1. Toss the mango chunks, lime juice, and simple syrup into a blender and puree until smooth.

  2. Gently stir in the Moon Dance Mango Wheat. (Don't blend the beer, or it will foam up!)

  3. Pour the mixture into your popsicle molds, leaving a little room at the top for expansion.

  4. Freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight.

  5. Pro-Tip: When you pop them out of the mold, sprinkle a little Tajin on top for an epic sweet, sour, and spicy kick.

The Golden Peach "Patio Pops” 🍑

Our Golden Peach Summer Radler is basically sunshine in a glass. It’s light, crisp, and practically begs to be turned into a frozen treat.

What You Need:

  • 1 can of OYB Golden Peach Summer Radler (slightly flat)

  • 1 large fresh peach, thinly sliced

  • ½ cup of peach nectar or white grape juice

  • A handful of fresh raspberries

How to Make 'Em:

  1. Drop a few fresh raspberry and peach slices directly into your empty popsicle molds.

  2. In a pitcher, gently mix the Golden Peach Summer Radler with the peach nectar.

  3. Carefully pour the liquid mixture over the fruit in the molds.

  4. Insert your sticks and freeze overnight.

  5. The result? A gorgeous, fruit-filled, stained-glass-looking popsicle that tastes exactly like a summer afternoon.
